池上彰さん出演番組でビーガンの魅力を発信 ー 関西テレビ「池上彰の関西人が知らないKANSAI」収録を振り返って

2020年1月14日放送の関西テレビ「池上彰の関西人が知らないKANSAI」出演時の一枚です。

当時の写真をあらためて見返しながら、ビーガン王子にとって印象深い収録のひとつだったこの機会を、活動報告としてご紹介します。収録では、京都のムモクテキカフェのビーガンホットケーキを小杉さんに召し上がっていただく場面もあり、植物性の食の魅力を自然なかたちで伝えられたことが、とても嬉しい経験となりました。

また、池上彰さんがビーガンというライフスタイルについて非常に丁寧に説明してくださったことも強く印象に残っているそうです。単に「食」の話題としてではなく、背景にある考え方まで言葉にしていただけたことで、より多くの方に興味を持っていただける貴重な機会になりました。

ビーガン王子本人も、「本当にとても楽しい時間で、今振り返ってもありがたい気持ちになります」と話しています。こうしたテレビ出演を通じて、ビーガンやプラントベースの考え方をより身近に、そして前向きに届けられることは、モデル・タレントとして活動する上でも大きな意義のある経験です。

These images were taken during the recording of Kansai TV’s Ikegami Akira no Kansai-jin ga Shiranai KANSAI, which aired on January 14, 2020.

Looking back on it now, this was one of Vegan Oji’s most memorable media appearances. During the recording, Kosugi-san even had the chance to try the vegan pancakes from Mumokuteki Cafe in Kyoto, which made it a particularly meaningful opportunity to introduce the appeal of plant-based food in a natural and relatable way.

One of the moments that stayed with him most was how clearly and thoughtfully Ikegami Akira explained the reasoning behind vegan lifestyles. Rather than presenting veganism only as a food choice, the program helped convey the ideas and values behind it, making it easier for a broader audience to connect with the topic.

Vegan Oji shared that it was “a truly fun and memorable experience,” and that looking back on it still fills him with gratitude. Opportunities like this are especially meaningful because they allow him to use his work as a model, media personality, and advocate to make vegan and plant-based living feel more accessible and positive to the public.
